ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Dr. Ganesh Shermon is the founding Partner for Psychometric Testing Canada Inc, a specialist management consulting firm focusing on psychometric testing for hiring, development, competency management,  leadership coaching, strategic human capital solutions, and people fit strategies in various industry sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and information technology. 


Previously, Dr. Shermon was a Partner and India Country Head for the People & Change Advisory Practice at KPMG LLP. He also served as a member of KPMG’s global steering committee. While at KPMG, Dr. Shermon led hundreds of engagements for organizations in various industry sectors, including agriculture, construction & infrastructure, financial services, government, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, and power & utilities. Key clients included AXA, ADB, BNP Paribas, Chubb, CUNA Mutual, Equifax, Essar, HDFC Bank, Goldman Sachs, Philip Capital, Shapoorji Pallonji, World Bank, TransUnion CIBIL, Vedanta, New Silk Route, KKR, Sequoia and several other private equity - venture capital firms and more. 

Over a 40-year career, Dr. Shermon has also held leadership positions in global organizations.


Dr. Shermon’s professional expertise lies in all aspects of human resource management, organizational design, strategy formation, leadership development, and culture transformation. He has helped organizations improve their culture, align leadership with stakeholders, and manage their talent during M&A activity, global crises, and periods of rapid growth. Dr. Shermon has developed several psychometric tests utilized by numerous organizations and has supervised over 1000 assessment workshops for organizations to bolster their talent management. 

A prolific author, Dr. Shermon has published 21 books and over 350 articles in academic and business journals, newspapers, and magazines. His research and writing spans diverse business strategy topics such as enabling digital transformation, developing strong leadership and culture in organizations, designing organizational structures, and utilizing competency-based human resource management methods. Dr. Shermon’s research has been cited over 150 times (per Google Scholar). His research has been published in high-profile journals including the IIM Management Review, IIM Vikalpa, Journal of Labor Studies - XLRI, ISTD, AMA and more. His articles have regularly appeared in newspapers and magazines such as the Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Hindu, The Economic Times, Financial Times, BW Businessworld, Business Today, Management Review and more. He regularly serves on dissertation committees of doctoral candidates at various academic institutions.


As an alumni of XLRI & MSU (India) and MIT Sloan Management School, Boston MA, Dr. Shermon completed a Ph.D. in Organizational Theory, an Advanced Management Program and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management.


Dr. Shermon has received several awards for his research and work. He is listed in “500 Leaders of Influence in the 20th Century” from the American Biographical Association and in “International Who is Who of Professions” and in “Heritage Who is Who”.
